Yarny Cake Goodness!!

Here are the pics I promised! I cant show you the other colors now. They are for my sp and I dont want her to see them just yet!! Anyway, I am really proud of my cakes. The only problem, well question I have is this: Should the cake be soft or firm? My first cake is pretty squishey and then the other two got progressivly firmer. Anyway enjoy the Yarn PrOn. Now I am off to knit!!

Memorial Day

Just wanted to add my two cents on this day of remembrance. Yes this is a day to remember the ultimate sacrifice made by so many of our men and women in uniform. But today is also a day to remember that we have many thousands that are still fighting for our freedom everyday. They are risking there lives and giving up their families so we dont have to. So, lets fly our flags and raise our glasses in remembrance of those we have lost and to those that are still protecting us everyday! Here's to a safe return of all of our soldiers, may you all come home soon!

Sox Box Contest Question #1

Question: What is your favorite beverage and snack while knitting, and why? Be specific!

Well, I havent been knitting that long so I dont have a ritual yet. But, when I knit I almost always have a cup - o - tea ( hot tea that is) with cream and 3 lumps. I know, I know, it goes 1 lump or 2, but 3 makes it just right! And the perfect snack with my perfect tea comes to me thanks to my kids. Bug Bites Graham Crackers!! They are so yummy and cute, I think they complement the tea perfectly! Some times though, if it is hot, I make a stop at my local Target/Starbucks and grab a Double Choc. Chip Frap. mmmmmmm yummy!! I usually dont have a snack with my frap, but sometimes I will have some Flamin Hot Cheetoes. With lots of wipe-ies for that not so good for yarn, Cheese!! :o)

I finally finished the "sister" to my first sock. They look and fit great! There is only a small difference in the socks, but I am not going to tell you where it is. I will let you find it on your own. I like the difference, I think it looks like it was made with love. (Which it was!) I see TONS more socks in my future! NOW, off to start on the Super Sox Box Swap!!

Oh and one random thing. At the same fest. as the next post, my mom, daughter, and I all got Henna Tattoos. I think they are beautiful and I plan on getting more soon! Till next time peeps! xo

Awesome Art!!

Isnt this art beautiful? Weird looking but cool! I saw this at a local festival over the weekend called "Kansas Sampler Festival". I had to take pictures to show you all these amazing and unusual works. Can anyone guess what medium this art is made from? Plaster, foam, clay? What is your guess?

Well, here is your answer!!!

That's right people Buffalo "Chips" aka Poops!!! I thought this was sooooooo funny! I almost pee'd my pants when I saw it. It really is pretty in person. No, it doesnt smell. It doesnt carry germs. I have lived here in SW KS all my life so this isnt a suprise to me, but I thought that you all might get a kick out of it!! Thanks for humoring me, and I hope you werent too grossed out.
