SORRY!

Its been awhile since my last post. Life has really gotten in the way of a lot of things. I am still knitting when time allows. Havent altered a tin in ages. I just recently decided to learn crochet, but that isnt going as well as I thought it would. My health is still all kinds of messed up. I have a new doctor who is really great. He makes me feel hopeful that I will be "normal" again one day. Most of my time is taken up by daily visits to my local YMCA, and of course my kids and all of their activities. I am going to make a real effort to post here once a week. Not only is it updating you guys, it is a bit of a release for my frustrations. Hoping this post finds you all happy and healthy. Till next time...........

A Little Surprise!

While checking my mail yesterday, I noticed a small package from Washington. Jeanne from Ravelry(Oceansong) was the sender. So I opened the package and found some goodies! Boy did it make my day!!!! A bar of Peppermint Milk Chocolate from Seattle Chocolates, a tin of Peace Mints "Power to the people with fresh breath", and a set of stitch markers that Jeanne made herself!

What I want to know is, how did you know I LOVED Peppermint Milk Chocolate?? Ok, I guess I really dont care how you knew, just that you were kind enough to think of me! I love everything! The chocolate is Amazing. The markers are just the right size for my gloves. Havent tried the mints yet, but they are next on the list! Thank you again sooooooo very much! Your kindness really brought me outta my funk yesterday! XO's to Jeanne!!! :o)

I picked up some super luscious Collinette yarn, a couple balls of Regia, some needles, and some yarn wash!! I picked up some other things too, but they are for my swap partner! Must be secret!!

I also when to see the Rheumatologist while I was out of town. Found out that I have Fibromyalgia now too! I am racking up the dx's here recently! Anyhoo, will be taking it one day at a time and learning all I can to keep the symptoms away. One step, Joining a Gym! Working out is killer, but will definitely do a body good down the road!

Tin Swap

So, this tin swap is a lot harder than I thought! I am finding tins all over the place, but I am not sure they are the ones for my SP. I am not sure what to get when it comes to extras. GGRRRRRR I am told by everyone there to just buy things that I would enjoy and it will be ok, I am not so sure. It is kinda scary actually. I just want my SP to be uber excited about her tins n stuff. Out to figure more things to get. Till next time............

Swap Talk

So I am doing this swap on Ravelry right now, it is so cool! We are swapping tins! No, not the green money kind, altoids type containers. I am having a blast looking for tins all over the net and at my local antique shop. Now, I just need my swapee so I know exactly what to look for. Getting back into knitting has been really exciting! All the new yarns, notions, and patterns that are out there now. Cant wait to try em all! Till next time...........

Where has the time gone??

WOW!! More than a year since my last post. I have been super busy with the fam, the kiddos, work, and just life in general. I finally picked up the knit sticks a few weeks ago to knit a scarf. Now I am working on another one and I am going to make some matching fingerless gloves of some sort. Taking it slow though, carpal tunnel has reeked havoc on my right wrist. grrr
With life getting so crazy, blogging took a back seat for a long time. So, I promise to blog at least once a week from now on. I need to revamp my whole page too! Lots of work to be done here, so I had better get to it. I hope to reconect with all my knit pals and make some great new ones. So, til next time peeps, gettcho knit on!!!! :o)

Life

Wow, it really has been a long time since I last posted here. Life is crazy these days. I feel like I am on a roller coaster with steep drops and torrential climbs. My health is well, not great. I was dx with an auto-immune disease called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. It is associated with Hypothyroidism. It affects the thyroid. In a nutshell, my immune system is slowly "eating" away my thyroid down to nothing. My disease has just wiped me out. I am so tired all the time. I have gained 30+ lbs and it is VERY hard to take off because my metabolism is regulated by my thyroid. There are tons of other issues that go along with it that I have to deal with too. If you would like to read up on it, there is a good article about it here and here. So I am learning to eat for my disease and doing lots of yoga(which still hurts btw!!). I havent been able to knit for a long time. I have been to busy with drs and my new biz that there just isnt time. I really miss it and would like to get back to it soon!! The new biz I am talking about is my Candle business. I am an Independent Consultant for Partylite Candles. It so much fun and I get to have all sorts of great smelling candles and accessories in my home. I am enjoying getting to meet new peeps too! My fam is doing well. I just got to spend a night with the hubby. He just got home after about 5 days away. It was nice to just lay with him and catch up on everything. He is so amazing. I cant believe that we have been together for almost 9 yrs! He has really been my rock through all of the crap that has been happening lately. I dont know what I would do without him. I think I have caught you all up on the latest. I will try and get on here more often to give you the scoop. Take care peeps. I hope things are wonderful wherever you are! xo

OUCHIE!!!!!!

Yoga + Me= No Zen, And that is all I have to say about that!!

Sunday, September 2, 2007

A couple things

I need more Zen!

I have decided that knitting isnt enough calm for me anymore. So I have decided to start learning the art of yoga. Yes me, a Yogi!!! I watched a workout on TV and felt so relaxed. I just watched, imagine how I would feel if I actually did it. We'll see how it goes and update you with progress!!

Back to Knitting... Finally!!

My good friend from High School is having her first baby in a few days. :o) Ahhh, babies. So I have decided to pick up my sticks(first time in weeks) and knit that kid some sockies. I am going to try and knit a hat too. I figure if it doesnt get done I have a few weeks to knock it out before it gets chilly. I am using a little CTH for poshness and maybe a little sockotta too!! Then a little acrylic(I know, I know) to withstand all those washings!! A few....dozen, ahem pairs should be just right dont'cha think? heehee

Oh, I started a candle business! It is so fun so far. I will blog on this later. I miss blogging so much. Finding the time here lately is hard. I promise to get on here and share the news with you all more often. Till next time peeps, keep knittin!! :o)

For those of you who are still waiting or havent signed up, it is SOOOO worth the wait!

PS: I know that it has been awhile since I blogged. There have been some medical issues that I have been trying to figure out. I am still in the testing and "try this" stage. But as soon as I get a chance, I will bring you all up to speed!! XO's to all! Keep knittin Peeps.

Does this mean I am getting old?

I have been having lots of eye strain issues while knitting here in the last couple of months. So I broke down and went to the Eye Doctor last week. After lots of testing and time looking at that HUGE "E", Dr. says I need BIFOCALS!! What? I am only 24, I dont know many 24 yr olds with bifocals. My vision is great dont get me wrong, its just with all of the teeny tiny needles and yarn my eyes are freaking out. My hubby has been giving me serious BS about this. I started knitting and he tells me I am old, and now that I have to get these specs I am granny! WTF? I guess I cant complain too much though. I adore my needle time and with my eyes hurtin like blazes, I guess its time to suck it up and just do it! I will post pics of them as soon as I can. They should be done this week. I sure hope so, my new CTH yarn is calling nay yelling at me. Till next time peeps.

I will post progress pics as they come available. Till next time peeps, keep on knittin!! mmmmmwah
